My name is Michael Humel. I am a freelance writer and disability advocate. I recently came across Roxy Rocker wanting her to be a guest on my show. However, the help she has given me and the connection we have made have been invaluable. When we talked about starting a consulting business to better help disabled people navigate businesses better she educated me on many aspects of accessibility and the business world. She referred me to multiple websites where I could research and reach out to better inspect my options. Furthermore, I recently spent a few days in a hotel in Cedar City. The trip was amazing. The hotel was not. We were assured that we were getting a handicapped-accessible room. The room did not come with a shower chair. The hotel had multiple accessibility issues. I spoke to Roxy. She made a complaint on my behalf. She explained to me what needed to be done. She informed me of independent living centers I could contact. Her level of empathy was amazing.
